Terrace Park Swim Club is a private, non-profit swim and tennis club established
in 1956 to provide a place for family fun and community involvement. A member-elected
Board comprised of club member volunteers governs it. Membership is open to all.
Situated on several acres in beautiful Terrace Park, Ohio, the club facilities
include:

Twenty-five (25) meter heated recreation pool with adjoining 12-foot-deep dive
tank with board.

Twenty-five (25) meter heated competition lap pool.

Baby pool with fountain located adjacent to recreation pool.

Full service concession stand and several outdoor grills for member usage.

Six tennis courts, open for play from April until November each year.

Curved Bolletieri backboard.

Full-sized basketball court.
Our club is a member and participates in the Seven Hills Swim League. We have a
full-time swim coach as well as two assistants. We also employ a diving coach.
Our swim staff offers group as well as private swim lessons for both adults and
children.
Our active tennis programs are under the supervision of a full-time tennis
professional who offers group as well as individual lessons for both adults and
children. We also field men and women's tennis teams that participate in league
competition.

Hours of Operation
The pool will be open from May 25 through September 3, 2007.
The pool will be open from 10:30 am to 9:00 pm every day but Friday. On Fridays
only, hours are from 10:30 am to 10:00 pm.
School day hours will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A pool manager or assistant manager will be available during all hours of
operation.
Tennis courts will be open from April -November, weather permitting.

Club Rules & Guest Policy
Pool Rules
-
Children under 3 years of age will be permitted in the swimming pool if in the
immediate company of an adult. Children in diapers shall wear plastic or rubber
pants, or a swim diaper, in addition to a bathing suit.

Children under 6 years of age must be under the close supervision of an adult at
all times.
-
Children 6 years of age or over shall not use the wading pool, subject to
exceptions approved by the pool manager.

Children under 10 years of age are not permitted in the Club unless accompanied
and supervised by an adult or by a babysitter approved by the pool manager.
-
Each child in the wading pool area must be under the immediate supervision of a
responsible babysitter or adult at all times.
-
At the hour, each hour, all children under the age of 18 must get out of the
water for ten minutes. The guards will blow their whistles at the hour. This
rule applies at all times, except during lessons, swim team practice or meets,
or at the discretion of the pool manager.

Running, pushing, wrestling, and ball playing are all prohibited within the pool
area.

Inflatable accessories are permitted in the water at the discretion of the
manager. Hard and sharp objects are prohibited.

No backward facing dives may be attempted unless under the supervision of the
club appointed diving coach.

Glass containers are not permitted on the premises.
-
The pool manager or lifeguard shall refuse admission and/or expel from the water
anyone with skin abrasions, bandages, infections, inflamed eyes, coughs or colds,
etc.
-
Expectorating and nose blowing in the pool is prohibited.
-
Smoking is permitted out of the water, but ashes and butts must be disposed of
properly.
-
All refuse must be put into trashcans.
-
No one shall drive fast or recklessly on the driveway or in the parking lot.
-
No pets are allowed on the Club grounds.
-
New rules may come into effect by the manager on duty, at his or hers discretion
and what the manager deems safe or unsafe.
Children under the age of 10 are not permitted unless
accompanied AND supervised by an adult or babysitter approved by the Pool
Manager. Unsupervised children whose conduct is not appropriate will lose this
privilege and their parents will be notified immediately.
Guest Policy
Local Guest: $5 per person per visit, or you may purchase a 10-visit
"visitor card" for $15 dollars at the beginning of the season. (This
is a $50 value.)
Out-of-town Guest: (outside metro Cincinnati)/Houseguest - No
Guest Fee Applies

Red Cross Swim Lessons
Lesson Information
Class sizes are between 3-5 students to ensure individualized assistance. There
will be four sessions for swim lessons, and lessons will occur from 9:30 - 10:30
on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays.
Session I: June 4- June 15
Session II: June 25 - July 6
Session III: July 9 - July 20
Session IV (if necessary): TBD
Class Description:
Level 1 - Water Exploration
The objective of level 1 is to help students feel comfortable in the water and
enjoy the water safely. Students develop elementary aquatic skills, however the
main focus is to help educate students about how to be around water safely.
There is no prerequisite for this level.
Level 2 - Primary Skills
The objective of level 2 is to give students success with basic skills. Students
learn to float without support and to recover to a vertical position. This level
begins locomotion skills and adds to basic safety skills begun in level 1.
Students entering this course must have a level 1 certificate or demonstrate
completion requirements in level 1.
Level 3 - Stroke Readiness
The objective of level 3 is to build on skills in level 2 by providing
additional guidance and practice. Students begin to coordinate the front crawl
and back crawl and develop the fundamentals for treading water. Students will
also learn rules for safe diving. Students entering this course must have a
level 2 certificate or demonstrate completion requirements in level 2.
Level 4 - Stroke Development
The objective of level 4 is to build confidence in the strokes already developed
in level 3. Students will improve their skills by increasing their endurance in
swimming elementary backstroke, back crawl, and front crawl for longer distances.
Wall turns and breaststroke and sidestroke are also introduced. Students
entering this course must have a level 3 certificate or demonstrate completion
requirements in level 3.
Level 5 - Stroke Refinement
The objective of level 5 is coordination and refinement of strokes. Butterfly,
open turns, feet-first surface dives, and springboard diving are introduced.
Additionally, students continue polishing up their strokes. Students entering
this course must have a level 4 certificate or demonstrate completion
requirements in level 4.
